Baked Ham
Place ham skin side up in an uncovered roasting pan. Pour ½ cup hot water over top of ham. Bake in 300 degree preheated oven, 25 minutes to the pound, or until an internal temperature of 170 degrees.
Make a glaze by mixing together 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup jelly (I prefer mint flavored jelly) and 2 tablespoons ketchup.
Remove ham from oven. Remove skin, and score top of ham. Brush glaze over ham, and return to oven for 15 minutes brushing with remaining glaze mixture often.
Glazed Canned Ham
Remove ham from can, and place in baking pan fat side up. Score ham and stud with cloves. Pour natural jelly from pan over ham. Mix 1/2 cup pineapple juice and 3/4 cup brown sugar. Pour mixture over ham and bake in 325 degree oven 15 minutes per pound. Baste frequently while baking.
