Indian Fry Bread

Ingredients


1 pint milk
2 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp shortening
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
flour

Directions

Mix baking powder, sugar and salt with one cup flour. Add milk and shortening. Mix well. Add flour until you have a dough easily handled. Roll out on a floured board to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into strips one inch wide and three inches long. Perforate or cut small slits into strips. Deep fry until brown.
